Sangeeta Devi journey became more prosperous after she joined Rakhi Jeevika Self Help Group which aided her in developing the Farm and Non-Farm Livelihoods through financial assistance of Rs. 80,000 from the Group.
She invested Rs. 50,000 to increase the grocery shop and a cow was purchased by her for Rs. 30,000. Eventually the shop started to bring in a good amount of cash, monthly earnings were between Rs. 20,000 to 25,000. Also, she used to sell milk through which her income increased by Rs. 2,000 to 3,000. Apart from the financial assistance. She also upgraded her technical knowledge and expertise through various trainings conducted by NATIONAL RURAL LIVELIHOODS MISSION.
Her success story is a testament to the empowerment facilitated by the Self Help group, as she now enjoys a monthly income of Rs. 25,000 showcasing the tangible results of her determination and entrepreneurial spirit.
