Lakhpati Didi Journey :

Mrs. Sheetala Patel is a member of the Jai Durge Self-Help Group, formed under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. Before joining the group, she faced significant hardships in making ends meet.

After joining the Group, she took a loan of Rs. 20,000 from the group and saved Rs. 25,000 from agriculture, with which she bought a buffalo for their dairy business. Due to proper care and nutritious diet, their buffalo started giving 10 to 12 litres of milk daily. She earns Rs.10,000 per month by selling buffalo milk. She is also repaying the loan amount taken from the group on time.

From the income of the dairy business, she saved some money and, by taking a loan from the group, she set up a shop in the village market, which includes a photocopy and computer online shop. This doubled their income and they started earning about Rs. 15,000 per month. Both husband and wife are running the dairy, sewing, and computer photocopy shop together with mutual coordination.
