Sunita Kushwaha, a resident of Baghedi village of Block Bankhedi in Narmadapuram district, embarked on a life-changing journey when she joined the Sharda Self-Help Group. With the group’s support, she availed a personal loan of Rs. 65,000 and started a kirana store, which increased her monthly income to Rs. 16,000.
Sunita’s determination didn’t stop there. She attended group meetings, learned about various livelihood activities, and ventured into dairy farming, which further boosted her income. Her family’s monthly income increased substantially, and she also started earning extra income through Community Resource Person (CRP).
Today, Sunita’s family is self-sufficient, and she has become a proud owner of a motorbike, which has facilitated her dairy business and transportation needs. She has also benefited from the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana and has become a confident and independent individual.
With a monthly income of around Rs. 17,000, Sunita’s journey is a remarkable one. She has become a role model for many and continues to inspire others to follow in her footsteps.
