অসম ৰাজ্যিক গ্ৰাম্য জীৱিকা অভিযানৰ সৈতে জড়িত হোৱাৰ পূৰ্বে তুলিকা গগৈ স্বৰ্গীয়াৰী আছিল পৰিয়ালৰ অৰ্থনৈতিক অৱস্থা উন্নত কৰাৰ সপোন থকা এগৰাকী গৃহিণী। তাই নিজৰ গাঁৱৰ এটা ছেল্ফ হেল্প গ্ৰুপত যোগদান কৰে, যিটো গ্ৰুপ অতি সোনকালেই ৰিভলভিং ফাণ্ড আৰু কমিউনিটি ইনভেষ্টমেণ্ট ফাণ্ডৰ বাবে যোগ্য হৈ পৰে। আৰ এছ ই টি আইকে ধৰি বিভিন্ন প্ৰতিষ্ঠানত ভেঁকুৰ খেতি আৰু আচাৰ প্ৰস্তুতৰ প্ৰশিক্ষণত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰি পৰম্পৰাগত জীৱিকাৰ কামৰ বাহিৰেও তেওঁৰ দৃষ্টিভংগী বহল কৰি তুলিছিল।
Her ventured into pickle making using seasonal vegetables and fruits and explored traditional pitha ladoo making. Her participation in a mushroom cultivation training at the Mushroom Development Foundation marked a turning point. She started mushroom cultivation with an initial setup of 100 bags.
She expanded her mushroom operation to 1,000 bags with a Mudra loan of Rs. 1 Lakh. Her income significantly increased, ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month from mushrooms alone. Now, she is the president of DIMCHA Cooperative Society, supporting Self Help Group members in mushroom production, and creates value-added products like mushroom chocolates, dry mushrooms, juices, and biscuits. She actively participates in Melas and exhibitions across and outside Assam, showcasing her products.
