Viruleno Ratsa belongs to Razaphema village of Dimapur district in Nagaland and associated with Rheitho Self Help Group hoping to be benefited through various means. Likewise, eight other Members of Self Help Group, she also joined the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission. They are trying to learn and also help each other whenever necessary.
After joining the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission fold, her social life improved a lot as it provided a platform where different Self Help Groups come under one umbrella. She gained confidence and started getting recognition in the village. She started receiving additional orders of weaving traditional items and it is also easy to get loans at minimum interest from Self Help Group, which has helped her a lot in purchasing the raw material from the market and supply the order to the customers on time.
She also took up other income generating activities through other members like pickle making which supplements me financially. Through Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission, she has received the opportunity to be trained on cultivation and increasing profit through cultivation of spices. Above all, she has been given the opportunity to be a leader as an Internal Community Resource Person (ICRP) and has received various Training of skills.
