Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA & FW)
The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and the Ministry of Rural Development joined hands on 09th June 2018 to support Self Help Group members in different agriculture related activities.
Key convergence area under NRLM are :
- The State should include a minimum 10% of state annual targets under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) for Self Help Groups.
- Self help Groups can access the provision of the National bamboo Mission.
- Provision under National Food security Mission for promotion of Millet Clusters can be accessed by Self Help Groups and federations.
- The Agriculture Ministry will provide bridge training to Krishi Sakhis for upgrading skills and certify to the Community Resource Persons as extension workers on the line of A-HELP.
- Farmers Producer Organization under 10K FPO scheme have been allocated to the Ministry of Rural Development to form women groups and producer groups may be converted to FPOs with appropriate business plans.
