Bindia Narzary, a member of the Mitali Self-Help Group under the Dotoma Development Block, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey in 2012 with a vision to enrich her community through local produce.
Her enterprise quickly flourished as she skillfully transformed simple ingredients into a variety of value-added products, including Soaps, Hair Oil and Shampoo. These products gained popularity both in local markets and online because of their quality and the reasonable prices they offered.
Bindia’s success drew substantial financial support, including additional loans and grants like the PMFME seed capital of Rs. 40,000. This funding allowed her to expand her operations and employ six people, three of whom are fellow Self Help Group members.
The ripple effect of Bindia’s enterprise extended beyond her immediate business. Members of her Self Help Group and the surrounding community benefited from employment opportunities and the demand for raw materials. Her monthly income is around Rs. 15,000 per month.
