Lakhpati Didi Journey
Minaben Santilal Baria from Ranjit Nagar village, Panchmahal district, embodies the transformative impact of the ‘Aajeevika Gramin Express Yojana’ (AGEY). Initially she was living in poverty and working tirelessly for daily sustenance. She turned her fortunes around through her engagement with the Jai Gurukrupa Self Help Group. This involvement not only ignited her business but also introduced her to various government schemes and initiatives.
She provided inter-loan support to group members and managed the financial activities responsibly. Her group has availed loans of total Rs. 9.5 lakh, maintaining an excellent repayment record.
With her first loan, she established a flour mill, supplementing her income and assisting her husband in purchasing an auto-rickshaw. Her entrepreneurial spirit was further boosted when she learned about the Aajeevika Gramin Express Yojana (AGEY) Scheme and purchased an EECO transport vehicle, marking a significant milestone in her journey.
Today, her family income comes from different sources, including the flour mill, rickshaw, and EECO vehicle. Their monthly earnings have increased from Rs. 25,000/- to 35,000/- per month. She aspires to expand her transport service after repaying the current loan.
