Ph. Lini Devi faced significant challenges in life. As the primary breadwinner of her family, she struggled with limited capital to establish a sustainable livelihood. Despite her dedication to weaving, her earnings were insufficient to meet her family’s needs. She became a member of the Self Help Group supported by Manipur SRLM she emphasized the importance of disciplined savings within the Self Help Group, which enabled her group to collectively save and eventually provide her with a loan of Rs. 5,000. With this financial support, she ventured into the fish drying business. Subsequently, Ph. Lini Devi secured an additional loan of Rs. 30,000 from a bank, allowing her to further expand her business operations. As a result of her perseverance and strategic financial decisions, she now generates a monthly income ranging from Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 from her successful fish drying enterprise.
