Moirangthem Ranjana Devi leads a challenging life due to her husband’s heart condition which prevents him from working and earning a living. She struggled to afford their education and her husband’s medical expenses. She became a member of the Self Help Group. This membership granted her the opportunity to secure a loan of Rs. 5000, which she used in collaboration with her own funds to purchase a calf. Over time, the calf matured into four cows, now yielding 6 litres of milk daily and generating an income of Rs. 500 per day. In addition to her livestock, she also engages in weaving traditional garments (Phanek) and cultivating vegetables. As a result, her monthly earnings now range between Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 25,000.
