Lakhpati Didi Journey :
Professionals from Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission program visited their village and initiated discussions on forming a Self Help Group. Subsequently, members from their community formed the Lanleibi Group. Bino, recognized for her active participation and had gone through a 15-day immersion training. She received a startup capital of Rs. 2500 and a revolving fund of Rs. 30,000. Leveraging her leadership skills and knowledge of banking activities, she was appointed as a Bank Sakhi at Manipur Rural Bank, Nambol Branch. In her role as a Bank Sakhi, Bino earns an honorarium of Rs. 8000 per month, in addition to Rs. 5000 monthly from home tutoring. She availed loans from her Group at a nominal interest rate. Interacting with several customers, she assisted them in loan applications, account openings, fund deposits for Self Help Group members and insurance enrollments.
