Neetu Rajak, a resident of Sakola village, joined the Kavish Self-Help Group. Before joining, Neetu and her husband ran a small ironing business from their home, but they faced financial difficulties. After joining the Self-Help Group, She gained access to loans and support, which enabled her to expand the family business.
She took a loan of Rs. 10,000 from the Self-Help Group to invest in her laundry business for purchasing better equipment. This helped her improve the quality of service and increased her customer base. Later, through the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme, She secured a loan of Rs. 50,000, which allowed them to open a dry-cleaning shop.
With the growth of the dry cleaning and laundry shop, Neetu’s income improved, and she could now contribute significantly to her family’s finances. Her business became a reliable source of income, and she was able to repay her loans on time. Today, Neetu is an inspiring figure in her community.
Her monthly income from the laundry and dry-cleaning business is Rs.15,000 per month.
