The Rebuild Kerala Entrepreneurship Development Programme is a project implemented by the Government of Kerala to rebuild Kerala after the floods through entrepreneurship. Realizing that Kainakary is an area with high potential for tourism, Alappuzha District.
With the help of a bank loan, Surya started the Speed boat initiative. About Rs. 11 lakhs were needed for that. For starting that initiative, Rs. 5 lakhs was taken as bank loan and Rs. 98,000 was found as RKI fund. The venture was started by finding the balance as owner’s share. The District Mission Coordinator and Assistant District Mission Coordinators of Kudumbashree District Mission and District Programme Manager and Mentor we are of great support and provided all necessary support to Ms Surya. About Rs. 25,000 per month is generated by this venture. Through this they were able to overcome the financial burden of buying a boat. At present it is also possible to give employment to two people. Entrepreneurs have also started activities to advance the enterprise by learning to drive and getting a license. The success of their work is due to their family members who supported them in starting this venture.
