Chongtham Victoria embarked on an extraordinary journey as a single mother when she made the decision to join the Self-Help Group. In this supportive environment, she not only received vital financial assistance but also acquired valuable technical knowledge. Her path took a transformative turn when she connected with the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), enabling her to secure a loan of Rs. 30,000 to establish her own Ice Cream shop. This entrepreneurial endeavour not only boosted her confidence but also honed her skills as an astute businesswoman. Diversifying her Income Generating Activities (IGA) to include activities such as rearing ducks and pigs, significantly contributed to her monthly earnings. Her monthly income is around Rs. 25,000.
