Mrs Kalaiarasi belongs to a middle-class family, and her husband is a daily wage worker. She is an independent, hardworking, and ambitious woman who wants to do something not only for herself but also for her society with free thinking and a positive approach and has made a name for herself in the field of NFL activities. She entered into a self-help group and got credit linkage through CIF Rs. 80,000 in convergence with the NRLM scheme and started a textile ladies’ garment & jewelry shop. She invested Rs 1,50,000 in a textile and jewelry shop and earns Rs 15,000 per month. Apart from these two activities, she opened a beauty parlor and earned RS 10,000 per month. She believed in her strength in dealing with challenges, and she didn’t want to rest on her laurels. With income from her business, she has become economically self-reliant and gives a respectable life to her family.
