Under Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission-Bihan Scheme, women of self-help groups have benefited economically and socially. After joining the Saksham Self-Help Group, Smt. Kaushalya Vishwakarma felt an extraordinary change in her life from social and economic.
Before joining Bihan, her financial condition was not sufficient to provide a better life to her family. She wanted to improve the financial condition of the family, but due to unavailability of any kind of financial assistance, she could not improve the financial condition.
After joining the Saksham Self-Help Group, she received the R.F. fund Rs. 15,000, C.I.F. Fund Rs. 60,000 from bank linkage she obtained a loan of Rs. 2,00,000. Now she is running a grocery shop and customer service center and her annual income is Rs. 2,40,000. Now she is not only financially independent but also writing a new story from the social point of view. They have a distinct identity due to their provision of banking and financial services in rural areas.
Every possible effort is being made by the Bihaan team to make these women self-reliant and empowered. Today with the help of Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission-Bihan Group, Basanti Didi stands as a strong, economic pillar for herself and her family and living a happy life.
