Lakhpati Didi Journey :
Kiran Mehra’s story is a testament to the power of hard work, determination, and the right support. Once a migrant worker earning a meagre income, Kiran’s life dramatically turned when she joined the Radhe Self-Help Group.
With the support of the PMFME scheme, Kiran and her group members received training and a loan of Rs.1 lakh to set up a bakery unit. They worked tirelessly to purchase necessary machinery and hone their baking skills, leading to a significant increase in productivity and profitability.
Today, Kiran’s bakery products are in high demand, with a monthly income of Rs. 1.6 to 1.8 lakh and an annual turnover of Rs. 3.6 lakh. She has also obtained an FSSAI licence and effectively utilises social media platforms for marketing and sales.
Kiran’s success story is a shining example of how a woman from a rural background can overcome challenges and achieve greatness. She has not only improved her livelihood but also created employment opportunities for other rural women. Her future plans include expanding her business by setting up another unit at the block level.
