Loukrakpam joined a meeting organized by the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MNSRLM) and decided to join a Self-Help Group. Despite initial skepticism from her family and community, she formed the Nachom Self Help Group with like-minded individuals.
She started with initial taking Revolving fund loan for vegetable vending. She then diversified into weaving and gradually took larger loans, including Rs. 50,000. She also invested in an auto Rikshaw for her husband with a Rs. 100,000 loan, expanding her business and improving their financial stability.
Presently, her earnings with a monthly profit of approximately Rs. 20,000 after expenses. This excludes her husband’s earnings. Loukrakpam credits her success to Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), which transformed her life, strengthened her family, and uplifted her community.
In the present day, she credits her individual and financial achievements to Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), highlighting how this transformative experience not only strengthened her as an individual but also elevated her family and community.
