Palgula Swapna belongs to Soan village of Nirmal district of Telangana and member of Krishnaveni. Her husband usually gets work for a very short period of time, not having sustainable income. Initially she engaged in the making of beedies but eventually identified opportunities in the field of Soya bean. After getting training in the making soya paneer and curd, she decided to start the Soya bean paneer and curd making enterprise.
Subsequently, she secured a loan of Rs. 3 lakh from Bank to establish her own enterprise. The ownership of the enterprise resulted in an additional monthly income of around Rs. 20,000 earned from Sale of Soya bean paneer and curd. The obstacle she faced was a shortage of human resources for agricultural activities. Inspired by the idea of collective farming in Nanded, Maharashtra state, she alongside fellow women farmers, initiated a collaborative effort to cultivate soya bean.
Her journey, fueled by the support of the Self-Help Group, became a shining example of how a modest beginning could lead to a flourishing livelihood. With sheer determination, she not only paved her own path but also showcased the potential for change.
