Lakhpati Didi Journey
Priyanka Devi joined the Kamal Jeevika Self-Help Group and took a loan of Rs 20,000 to open a small shop, which provided an initial boost to the family’s income. She was deeply involved in farming activities.
She was using a mixture of neem leaves, cow urine and gram flour for preparing natural pesticides. She personally treated the seeds and established a nursery, which marked the beginning of her journey into organic farming. The initial results were promising, and their monthly income increased to Rs. 10,000 to 12,000. Every day, Priyanka would take her produce to the nearby market, where she earned Rs. 1,000 to 1,500 daily by selling fresh, organic vegetables. The financial stability gained through organic farming has allowed Priyanka to provide a better future for her children.
