Lakhpati Didi Journey
Pushpa Toppo, a resident of Bes village in Katkamdag block, Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, faced significant financial struggles while living with her parents and siblings. Her life took a positive turn when she joined the Kalyani Sakhi Mandal Self-Help Group (SHG) through the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS). With the support of Community Institutions like the Cluster Level Federations (CLF) and Village Organizations (VO), she secured a loan of Rs. 3 Lakh to start a goat farming venture.
However, the resources and support provided by the Self Help Group enabled her to transform her circumstances. Her goat farming business has flourished, boosting her annual income to Rs. 2 Lakh. This financial uplift has significantly improved her living conditions and empowered her to overcome obstacles with newfound confidence. Her journey only enhanced her economic status but also instilled a sense of empowerment. With her newfound stability and success, she dreams of expanding her goat farming enterprise on a larger scale, aiming for even greater achievements in the future.
