Lakhpati Didi Journey
Mrs Amrutha belongs to an agricultural family, and after joining self-help groups, she got a PLF loan of Rs 30,000 for her agricultural activities. She owns a few acres of leased land and cultivates vegetables, paddy, and cotton. Moreover, she followed the concept of mixed farming, where the loss in one crop can be substituted with another enterprise. She got training at KVK and Agriculture College regarding organic inputs of vegetable cultivation and unit cost establishment for paddy & cotton. Apart from agricultural activities, she is involved in dairy cattle rearing and goat rearing activities. She knows that the biggest challenge in agriculture is the availability of labor, which she utilizes at the Custom Hiring center established by the NRLM scheme. In the Agricultural and other sectors, She earns Rs 20,000 per month. She is an example of a successful farmer and has proved that wonders can be done in agriculture and allied activities if investments are made in the right direction and equipped with the latest knowledge.
