Ramdevi Kaurav from Magunga village grew up in a poor family and relied on daily wage labour to support her family. Her income was insufficient to provide daily needs for her family. After joining the Shri Ram Self Help Group, she decided to take a loan to start a slipper manufacturing business.
With the support of the Self Help Group, Ramdevi took out a loan to purchase equipment and raw materials for slipper production. She started small but soon expanded her business, hiring a few workers to help with manufacturing. The Self Help Group also helped her market her products in nearby villages and towns, increasing her customer base.
Her business flourished, and she quickly repaid her loans. Currently her monthly income is around 20,000 from slipper manufacturing.
Today, Ramdevi earns a substantial income from her slipper manufacturing unit, and her family’s financial situation has improved dramatically. She has become a role model in her village, showing others that entrepreneurship can lead to a better life.
