Lakhpati Didi Journey
Rina Baruah, a member of the Rangdhali Self Help Group, has been an inspiring example of transformation since joining the group in 2014 from a housewife to a successful entrepreneur.
The financial support she received, including Community Investment Fund of Rs. 50,000 Revolving Fund of Rs. 25,000 and a bank loan of one Lakh, enabled her to establish a small agarbatti (incense stick) industry.
Rina expanded her business to operate five automatic machines. Her industry’s growth has allowed her to supply products across Biswanath and Lakhimpur districts and even to the nearby state of Arunachal Pradesh. Last year, Rina’s total income reached an impressive Rs. 8 lakhs, with a profit of approximately Rs. 3 lakhs, reflecting her remarkable entrepreneurial success.
Thanks to National Rural Livelihood Mission, not only she received financial support, but she also gained the confidence that transformed her into a successful and proud “Lakhpati Didi”.
