Smt. Sanju Kushwaha, a resident of Majhigav Chauby village in Sonebhadra district, Uttar Pradesh, has transformed her life from an agricultural laborer struggling to make ends meet to a successful entrepreneur in goat milk soap production. Joining the Bajrangbali Self-Help Group under the Tiranga Prerna Village Organization marked a turning point in her life. With training and support from the group, Sanju and her group members began producing goat milk soap, an innovative product that quickly gained traction. Through events like the Saras Mela, where her soaps were showcased nationwide, her business flourished. Over two years, Sanju sold more than 20,000 soaps, generating an income of Rs. 2 lakhs. Her monthly earnings of Rs. 15,000 – Rs. 20,000 have enabled her to improve her family’s living standards and ensure her children receive quality education. Sanju’s entrepreneurial success has inspired her self-help group peers, and she now mentors other women, fostering a spirit of collaboration. Recently, she was honored at the Republic Day parade by the Hon’ble Minister of Rural Development, celebrating her achievements.
