Lakhpati Didi Journey
Saroj bala’s journey to open a CSC center in her village was fraught with difficulties. She had to overcome gender bias and a lack of infrastructure.
Saroj bala enrolled in digital literacy programs provided by HSRLM and received mentorship from established CSC operators. She also leveraged microfinance to purchase necessary equipment. HSRLM enabled her to secure a loan of Rs. 55,000, which she used to establish a Common Service Center (CSC). She has not only improved her own life but also brought digital services closer to her community. Her monthly income of Rs.12,000 is a significant accomplishment, providing stability and a better quality of life.
Her success has likely had a positive impact on her community, inspiring other women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and demonstrating the benefits of joining Self Help Group.
