Lakhpati Didi Journey
Sevati Didi’s journey from a homemaker to a Lakhpati Community Resource Person is a story of empowerment and transformation. Initially focused on household work, she joined a self-help group and secured a loan, which she invested in vegetable farming and sewing.
Her dedication paid off, and within a year, she became a member and director of the Farmers Producers Organization (FPO), significantly increasing her income to over a lakh annually. Today, she is a leading figure in her village, inspiring other women to follow her path to financial independence. In her role within the Swanupaj Mahila Kisan Updatak Company (FPO), which consists of 15,800 female farmers across 430 villages, Sevati Didi plays a crucial role in helping the group procure 2,000 tons of crops like soybean, chana, masoor and toor. She also supports initiatives that empower women, such as creating opportunities for drone didis, nurturing women entrepreneurs and ensuring affordable agricultural inputs for FPO members. Through her efforts she continues to uplift her community, inspiring many women to achieve financial independence and success.
