Lakhpati Didi Journey:
Saraswati Bai, belonging to a poor family, joined Shanti Self Help Group and started working as a bookkeeper. She took multiple loans totaling ₹12.37 lakh for agriculture, a grocery shop, a hotel business, and transport services. She repaid all loans and later purchased a tractor and a pickup truck, increasing her income significantly. Alongside, she works as an accountant for the cluster organization, earning an additional ₹5,000 per month. With her earnings, she built a pucca house, bought a flour mill, an irrigation pump, and other essential household items. Today, she is financially independent and an inspiration for many women in her community. Currently her monthly income is around ₹35,000 /-.
