Lakhpati Didi Journey
Tulsi Maya Kami, a proactive member of the Anmol Self-Help Group, has effectively utilised the Self Help Group loan of INR 60,000 to transform her economic circumstances. Investing in a high-yielding crossbreed cow, Tulsi significantly increased her dairy production to 8 litres of milk daily, generating a steady income of INR 15,000 per month by selling to a local cooperative. Additionally, she engages in vegetable cultivation on her land, employing organic farming techniques to grow a variety of vegetables such as spinach, potatoes, beans, and cucumbers. This venture brings in an extra Rs. 12,000 monthly from sales at the local markets, notably enhancing her family’s income and ensuring their food security with a continuous supply of fresh produce. Tulsi’s entrepreneurial efforts in both dairy and vegetable farming have not only stabilized her financial status but also improved her family’s quality of life significantly.
