Smt. Saralinda S Myrthong of Baniaitehsong Self Help Group from Mawngap, one of the ICRP cadre of Mawphlang .She joined Self Help Group in 2018. It’s a big challenge for her to support her family since she’s the only breadwinner of the family with three children. Ever since she engaged in group activities she started to save up money. Every week she uses to save money with her own SHG group. In the year 2020 she started a group activity business by making pickles, but since the marketing is very low so they stop the activity. Recently, she started an individual activity with the loan she took through SHG to startup a rental business shop for utensils, chairs, pandal decorations etc.
She has also been selected as Active women in the year of 2020. She has been engaged in many ICRP rounds conducted by Mawphlang C&RD Block and also outside the Block. So with her skills and hard work in the year 2021 she has been assessing into ICRP cadre.
Her annual income is approximately 2 lakhs per annum. The income generated from this rental shop is not specific and depends on seasonal, and the income is more in winter season compare to the summer season.
As an ICRP she has been encouraging others women to brought into SHG within her own village and outside the village.
