Pratima Salam has encountered significant financial challenges due to her sole reliance on weaving for income. However, since becoming a member of a self-help group, her circumstances have undergone a remarkable transformation. She was appointed as a bank Sakhi in the block, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her life journey. Pratima found a platform to showcase her skills and knowledge as a bank Sakhi, resulting in a monthly earnings of Rs. 8000. In addition to her role as a bank Sakhi, she also engages in weaving, duck rearing, and operating a turmeric grinding machine, collectively earning Rs. 15,000 per month. This newfound financial independence has garnered her respect within the community.
