Anita Devi from Tarhasi, Palamu, was a homemaker who did all her work within the four walls of her house. She joined the Vardan Aajeevika Self-Help Group. After joining the group, her life changed significantly. Initially, she hesitated to step outside, but attending group meetings helped her become more open. Through her Self Help Group, she learned about various government schemes and loan provisions. She took a loan of 2 lakh Rs. from her group and started a water jar business. The business did well, and Anita began earning a good income. She now makes 25,000 to 30,000 Rs. per month from selling water jars and her income increases to 40,000 Rs. during the wedding season. Her successful business has filled her with confidence and has become a big inspiration for others.
