Yashoda Gupta, transformed her life and her family’s future through dedication and hard work. Despite limited education, she joined her husband in a small tailoring business, and after joining the Saraswati Self-Help Group, she accessed opportunities for growth. Through her involvement in the Self-Help Group’s weekly meetings, Yashoda learned about financial literacy and government schemes for rural entrepreneurs. With guidance from a Community Resource Person (CRP), she applied for a Rs. 35,000 loan through the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) under the Madhya Pradesh State Livelihood Mission. After completing Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) training, she expanded her tailoring business and opened a small saree shop. Her monthly income since tripled to Rs. 16,000, enabling her to comfortably support her family and invest in her children’s education. Her journey is a beacon of hope for other women, illustrating the power of determination and community support.
