Anni Bai Thakur is a resident of District- Bastar, Block- Lohandiguda, village- Chhindgaon. Earlier her husband worked as a labor and barber. Due to financial issues she was not able to do any business. Due to inflation it was difficult to maintain the household expenditure. She joined Maa Durga Self-Help Group and took a loan of Rs. 30,000/- from Community Investment Fund (CIF) and used it for for doing some livelihoods activities and through bank linkage she has taken loan of Rs. 60,000/- and she started vegetable farming, poultry farming and grocery shop. Now her husband has also got employment through these activities.
She has started livelihood activities. Anni didi earning approx. Rs. 3,000/- from grocery shops, Rs. 8,000/- from vegetable farming and Rs. 3,000/- from poultry farming monthly. Nowadays Anni Didi total monthly income is Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 15,000/- due to which the financial condition of her family has improved and Anni Didi is also able to give better education to her daughter from this income.
At present, Anni Didi is using her income to expand her grocery shop and vegetable farming business. Today, with the help of Bihaan stands as a strong, economic pillar for herself and her family.
