Ganita Kumari, known as “Bank Didi” has made a significant mark as a Customer Service Point (CSP) operator in the Chakai block of Jamui district.

Before CSP Ganita was a member of the Gayatri Self Help Group and managed financial transactions within the group. She began operating a State bank of India operated Customer Service Point, which has become a crucial financial resource for her rural community Ganita’s CSP operations have generated a monthly commission ranging from Rs. 15,000 to 20,000 facilitating financial transactions for locals who previously had to travel long distances for banking services. This initiative has brought essential banking services closer to the villagers, reducing their dependence on distant bank branches.

Her CSP not only helps her sustain her household but also serves as a beacon of financial inclusion in her region. The success of her CSP reflects the growing empowerment of women through the support of rural banking projects and self-help groups.
