Smt. Manta, a dedicated woman with a small family, faced significant financial challenges.she ran a cosmetic shop that provided only a nominal income. Both their earnings were insufficient to secure a better future for their family.
She joined the Self-Help Group of the Haryana State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HSRLM). Through this Self Help Group, she learned about the potential and strength of women, realizing that a woman could also lead her family effectively.
Under the guidance of the HSRLM scheme, She received training in block printing. This training significantly improved her livelihood, helping her family escape poverty.
Today, Her block-printed bed sheets, sarees, suits, and other items are in high demand at various business fairs and exhibitions. She regularly sets up stalls at these events in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Chandigarh, Mussoorie, Kurukshetra, Noida and other locations, where she successfully sells her products. Now, she earns Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
