Minu Devi’s story is one of perseverance, determination, and the transformative power of self-help groups. Minu Devi joined the Bandhan Jeevika Swam Sahayata Samuh, through her association with the Self Help Group, Minu learned about various government schemes and the support available to women entrepreneurs.
She received training and financial assistance to start her own enterprise under the guidance of the Jai Mata Di Gram Sangathan and Parivartan Jeevika Mahila Sankul Sangh. Minu started her journey as an entrepreneur by making spices, pickles, and papads at home by the support from Jeevika. Through the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Minu was able to access a loan of up to Rs. 40,000, which she used to scale up her business. She began selling her products in local markets and also received orders from Jeevika offices, which boosted her confidence and income.
Her monthly income increased to between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000, allowing her to not only repay her debts but also secure a better future for her family.
