Papen Lego, a dedicated member of the Ralna Self-Help Group, was determined to create opportunities for herself and her family. Through participating in the self-help group, she acquired valuable financial management, entrepreneurship, and community development skills. She actively engaged in saving and credit activities.
With this knowledge, Papen aimed to provide her daughter, Nyamne Lego, with the opportunity to pursue her dream of opening a clothing store. With the help of her group, she took a loan of Rs. 1.5 Lakh from community investment fund to support Nyamne’s micro clothing store. Nyamne rented a store in the bustling Roing market for her new venture and started this business, earning around Rs. 15,000 per month. Papen played a vital role in supporting Nyamne’s micro business, offering encouragement and guidance. Nyamne’s micro clothing store quickly gained popularity, attracting customers from across town and surrounding villages.
