Prabhaben Premjibhai Vala from Mithapur Dungri in the Dhari block of Amreli district began her inspiring journey by joining the Jay GigeVpir Aajivika Juth Self-Help Group in year 2022. Joining the group marked the beginning of a transformative phase in her life, as it provided her with both crucial financial support and valuable technical knowledge.
Her entrepreneurial path took a significant turn with her engagement with the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), where she secured a loan of one Lakh. This financial aid helped her to establish her own business in making khatla and crochet work, crafts that demand meticulous skill and creativity. This venture not only elevated her confidence but also polished her capabilities as a businesswoman.
Her success is a testament to the empowerment facilitated by self-help groups and the National Rural Livelihood Mission. She now enjoys a monthly income of ₹10,000, a clear indicator of her determination and the effective results of her entrepreneurial spirit.
