Jay Kuber Sakhi Mandal-help group undertaking pickle making and other food-related item activities in Chamariya village.
Ritaben and her Self Help Group, Jay Kuber Sakhi Mandal, focused on the empowerment of women and creating several employment opportunities for them. There are a total of 14 members in this group. Self Help Group’s area of specialization is processing and making some types of mango pickles, such as papdi, chakri, sev, mukhvas, etc. After making pickles and other items, her financial condition improved. She got financial support from PMFME. After making pickles and other items, Ritaben and her group got a new identity in her village. She has also encouraged the women of her village and the other women of Self Help Group to earn a livelihood. Now Ritaben and her group get daily wages, and they earn between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 per month. Last year, she was invited to be a master trainer at the IAS training center in Mussoorie.
