Currently, Mali didi’s family is involved in a diverse array of livelihood activities, including poultry farming, paddy and vegetable cultivation, goat rearing, and running a grocery shop. In the past, her sole source of income was the grocery shop, which proved challenging in sustaining her six-member family due to its limited earnings.
Struggling with the constraints of a meager income, Mali didi decided to enhance her family’s financial prospects by diversifying into multiple livelihood activities. This strategic move not only alleviated financial difficulties but also paved the way for a more sustainable livelihood. With an eye on further expansion, Mali didi, after repaying her existing loan, has plans to set up a restaurant in her village. This ambitious endeavor is expected to contribute to the sustainable growth of her family income, aiming for an average monthly earning of Rs. 30,000.
