Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI)

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI) was associated with the Ministry of Rural Development on 09 August 2021 for providing technical support for the range of interventions in the food processing sector. 

• Develop/modify new or existing technologies to meet food processing requirements of Self Help Groups or Entrepreneurs.
• Customized training programs for Self Help Groups/Entrepreneurs and State Rural Livelihoods Mission staff members.
• Design analytical and quality control measures for SHG run enterprises.
• Testing of packaging materials.
• Provide technical experts for various committees/groups for supporting State Rural Livelihoods Missions in the implementation of projects.
