SHG Members are involved with multiple Livelihood activities such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Sericulture, Livestock Rearing, Dairy Farming, Fishery, Non-Timber Forest Produces, Handicrafts, Handlooms, Small Scale Manufacturing, Food Processing, Artisan work, Household level enterprises etc. They are also involved with service-level enterprises like cadre services, tourism and hospitality, transportation, repair and maintenance, financial services etc.  

Aajeevika Register is a key tool for enabling the Self Help Group to keep record of their all livelihood activities at the village level.

It is designed to track and facilitate enhancement of the incomes of the households. This tool embodies a focused approach to diversify livelihood activities, aiming to elevate every SHG household to a Lakhpati status.

The purpose of the register is to help the federation Mission units and other stakeholders in enhanced planning and measuring the progress of Lakhpati Didis. It will be maintained at the Village Organization (VO) level and updated every six months after the crop harvesting and/or completion of a business cycle.


The register captures the following information:

  1. Basic information: Profile, Capitalization support, Bank linkage or other grants /loans received.
  2. Income from Agriculture & Allied Activities: The net income (after deducting the expenses incurred) from the agricultural, livestock, fisheries, Non-Timber Forest Produce activity etc.
  3. Income from manufacturing/trading/services enterprises: The net income of the SHG household through this intervention will be computed.
  4. Income from salary/fees/honorarium: The household involved in some monthly income as part of the job or earning fees or honorarium will be calculated and entered.
  5. Income as a worker (Agriculture/Manufacturing/Others): It will be entered.
  6. Income through commissions: Form of compensation that individuals receive based on their performance in selling products or services, securing deals, or generating revenue for a business or organization.
  7. Income through remittances: Refers to money or financial support sent by migrant individuals to their family members or dependents residing in villages
  8. Any other income

Aajeevika Register Implementation Process

Process for data collection:
  1. Training and capacity building of concerned staff at State, district and block
  2. The VO will Identify and train the Livelihood e-CRPs/Data entry Sakhi for data management.
  3. Livelihood e-CRPs will be responsible for collecting data of all the members.
  4. The data will be entered into the MIS portal
  5. A committee consisting of the District manager MIS and livelihoods will monitor the above process.
  6. Third-party evaluation will be conducted at regular intervals to check the authenticity of the data.
