She was leading a life of struggle and financial insecurity due to her family’s poor financial condition. Her husband worked as a daily labourer, and their income was barely enough to meet their basic needs, let alone provide their children with a better life but, B.Rajini was determined to change her fate and become an entrepreneur to support her family.
B.Rajini joined OM Sai Self Help Group but was unable to start her own business due to the lack of funds. One day, she attended a Village Organization (VO) meeting where she learned about the Non farm promotional activities of SERP project. She was fascinated by the project’s potential to help her expand her business and approached the CRP-EPs and mentor to gather more information about it.
She started her business of making bricks and rings with the help of the project. She increased her daily sales to Rs. 450. She was able to work more days, increasing her turnover from Rs. 3,750 per month to Rs. 12,600 per month.
She transformed herself from a daily labourer to a successful entrepreneur and provided a better life for her family. Her story is an inspiration for others who wish to break free from poverty and achieve financial stability through entrepreneurship.
