Hemlatta Ben and her Jay Ambe Self-Help Group, focused on the empowerment of women and creating several employment opportunities for them. Self Help Group’s area of specialization is processing and making some types of Mogra agarbatti, Jasmine agarbatti, Rose agarbatti, Gugal Agarbatti, Dhup, etc.
After making agarbatti and other products, her financial condition has improved. She got financial support from the bank and a self-help group. After making agarbatti and other products, she and her group got a new identity in her village. She has also encouraged the women of her village and the other women of Self Help Group to earn a livelihood. Now Hemlatta ben and her group get daily wages, and they earn Rs. 10,000 to 20,000 per month. It shows how success could be achieved by rural women if necessary training and credit would be provided to them along with some guidance and encouragement.
