She joined Sreematha Self Help Group, Kadaplamattam and started mushroom cultivation in a thousand square feet shed in 2020. She has completed various training and received financial support from Kudumbashree. Then mushroom cultivation was expanded to 3500 square feet. The products are also sold through various shops in Kottayam district. A major expansion is underway. Farming is done traditionally. Therefore, vegetables, kappa and banana are cultivated and income is available from this. Cows and chickens are also reared as other sources of income. She is selling above Rs. 50,000 per month and also produces and markets value added products like pickles and cut light. From various sources, she is getting a handsome income of around Rs. 17,000 per month.
