Smt. Kavita has embarked on a livelihood venture of making and selling jute bags and jute dolls since July 2023, after receiving training from RSETI. She , along with 7 other women, took the initiative to start their own businesses at home.
Jute Bags: The women produce jute bags of various sizes and bags are sold at reasonable prices at local market and district market.
Jute Dolls: The dolls are sold at prices between Rs. 200/- and Rs. 400/- in local market and in Saras Mela.
They have promoted sale of Jute Bag and Doll in Saras Mela and different type of exhibitions. She is working as a Jute Bag Trainer in RSETI, Yamunanagar. As a result of these efforts, she is able to earn Rs. 1.20 lakhs per annum.
