Mrs. Kyntiewlin Nongsiej from Mawranglang Village of Shilajong an aspiring individual who wanted to do something more than serving as a school teacher. She started manufacturing pickles for her friends and relatives as a part time hobby.
It was only after receiving trainings through various institutions that she started taking her talents and interests seriously. She started her manufacturing “M/s Shilajong Manufacturer” where she started making pickles of various local fruits and started selling them at the village level, distributing to various tea stalls and within Mawkyrwat Market. Since then she has undergone various trainings and other institutions and is also one of the Master Trainers at various Block level Food Processing Trainings conducted by the BMMU and is also encouraging others to take up the activity. She is currently earning an income of Rs. 40,000/- monthly through her activity of Food Processing.
