Radha Devi, who belongs to Barhet block of Sahibganj district, transformed her life through the support of Jai Maa Aajeevika Sakhi Mandal. Radha Devi and her family were financially weak. Their lives were dependent on farming, but they were not able to do cultivation for a whole year as well as find a proper market to sell their produce, due to which there was no significant change in their financial condition even after so much hard work. Radha’s association with the group proved pivotal. With access to low-interest loans, she embraced vegetable farming and goat rearing. Implementing drip irrigation, Radha successfully cultivated ladyfinger and barbati, yielding substantial profits. Expanding into paddy and wheat cultivation, she strategically planted 42 mango saplings for future financial benefits. Her present earning Rupees 1.5 lakh annually. Her success story showcases resilience, innovation, and the trans-formative power of community support in rural entrepreneurship.
