Raveti Ben transformed her life from hardship to success through her involvement in the Meera Bai Self-Help Group. She utilized an initial loan of Rs. 10,000 to start a cement pillar business, eventually expanding to buffalo farming, which significantly boosted her family’s income and helped them avoid seasonal migration. An active participant in the Gram Sabha, she became a driving force for community development, establishing three additional Self-Help Groups to empower other women. Her initiatives extended to creating a children’s savings group, promoting financial responsibility among the youth. Recognized for her leadership, Raveti has won district and state awards, symbolizing social change and inspiring her community toward a better future. She and her husband, a daily wage labourer, faced severe financial challenges and even migrated to Gujarat to survive, until she joined the Meera Bai Self-Help Group. Through training and determined efforts, she now earns a monthly income of around Rs. 22,000 through diversified activities, including cement pillar manufacturing, buffalo farming, and agriculture, alongside her CRP role. Today, she dreams of making her village free from poverty and opening a clothing shop to further improve her family’s financial condition
